FM Conway is currently seeking a Trainee Recycling Operative to join our Water and Drainage Management division, based in Dartford. This is a full-time role, working days and nights and offers a competitive salary and wide range of benefits.

The Trainee Recycling Operative Role

As our Trainee Recycling Operative, you will be operating plant and associated equipment to facilitate with the cleansing and treatment process of the waste which is brought in daily from our gully trucks. Your role will vary from emptying the waste from the trucks, to ensuring that it is separated correctly enabling the treatment process to take place efficiently. Other responsibilities include:

  • Helping to maintain the Drainage Treatment Plant
  • Operating plant including a small crane
  • Ensuring that the yard is maintained to a clean and tidy standard
  • Reporting any defects accurately and in a timely manner to your line manager

What we’re looking for in our Trainee Recycling Operative

Successful candidates will preferably have knowledge of operating wash plants, crushers, and screeners. A full driving licence will be held as well as a high standard of safety awareness. Mechanical and recycling knowledge is also preferred.
