More about your role
This role is part of our 2023 graduate programme, known internally as our Emerging Talent programme. As our Trainee Project Manager, you'll support with the managing of the whole project life cycle whilst securing the relationships to bridge the gap between multiple teams.
Within this role you will be given the autonomy to oversee the current processes from resource planning & scheduling to supporting the project team to allow them to reach potential and ensure success.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is threading communities into the heart of every project you align yourself to therefore we are looking someone who is enthusiastic and passionate enough to push our organisations strategy forward.
The start date for this role is 18th September 2023 which will include a week long induction.
The two-year programme will support you to develop the core skills, behaviours and technical ability to develop into a Project Manager. You'll be supported by the wider team, empowered to take on your own workload and the autonomy to make decisions at every stage of the project lifecycle. You'll get exposure to a large business support functions, with no two days being the same.

More about you
You'll be educated to a graduate-level with a degree within a related specialism such as IT, Business Management, Project Manager or similar. The successful candidate will be supported with a thorough and detailed training package, therefore a particular academic history isn't preferred. The successful candidate must have a willingness to learn and develop the new skills.
Showing innovative thinking and business acumen is essential for success in this role. As we continue with our group transformation, we have seen an increase in the need for our Project Management service, you should be a fan of the to do list and be able to demonstrate your organisation skills.
This role will see you speaking with the lots of people across Places for People, with communication skills and a People First customer service focus setting you apart from other candidates.
Any previous experience working in a project team would be of interest however not essential. This is a learning role and having a pro-active attitude is the most important asset.
This role is suitable for applications across the UK with home working being seen as a norm.
