Trainee Production Operative required for a friendly and growing award-winning manufacturer of high-quality adhesive products.

As we operate a four day week so this role is ideal for those who wish to add to their CV by using the one day to pursue their own professional development.

As a production operative, you have a well-defined career path since you can progress to supervisory roles like quality control specialist, production manager or factory manager. Alternatively, specialise in specific production processes like machine operative, forklift specialist or diversify into plant, machinery and engineering.

Applicants with previous production experience will be at an advantage, but it is not a necessity as full training will be provided.

The Trainee Production Operative Role:
Daily cleaning of machinery and tools and maintaining tidy work areas.

Following work instructions including manual handing of heavy loads.

Taking finished products out of production machinery and into packaging.

Storing goods and raw materials in the factory/warehouse and keeping to locations.

Packing goods ready for shipment in boxes or onto pallets.

Good observation of health and safety. Both yourself and of others.

Offers sound foundational skills in plant and machinery.

Sustainable practices wherever possible.

The Successful Production Operative – what do we want?

The successful candidate should be eager to learn, be able to use their initiative and want to work alongside a close-knit team. There are periods of working alone also. Training and professional development is encouraged.
A good command of literacy and numeracy is essential.

The role involves some physical work and correct cleaning of equipment is vital.
