Job description
Due to ongoing growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Fun & Active family as a Trainee Playground Marking Installer. Based in Fareham, we transform playgrounds throughout the UK by installing thermoplastic playground markings. You can get an idea for what we do by taking a look at our website www.fun-play.co.uk
We are looking for people who can be flexible within the role and are happy to work out on site assisting the team leader. Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
Job Type / Category
The role;
* Assisting the installation manager in measuring and marking out the games.
* Prepping and priming the surface
* Laying out the various designs
* Heat applying the markings to the surface
* Ensuring the working area is safe for the children
* Loading and unloading the van and helping the team to make sure the job is completed on schedule.
* Flexible 4 longer days per week on site
* Finish early Fridays (where possible)
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
To be suitable for this role you will have to;
* Have a valid UK driving licence.
* Be aged 21 or over in order to drive the company vehicle.
* Be happy with staying away (sometimes on a regular basis). Meals and accommodation will be provided.
* Be flexible with your working hours. This often involves early morning work.
* Be ultra-reliable. The team will be depending on you.
* Be hard working. The job is physically demanding and will mean you will be on your feet most of the day.
* Be self-motivated and be able to motivate others.
* Be able to work as part of a small team.
As you will be working within primary schools you must have a clear criminal records check (we will apply for this on your behalf).
