An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Paint Technician to join one of the world-leading manufacturers of mobile elevated work platforms based in Milton Keynes.

The Trainee Paint Technician Role requires dynamic team players with a can-do attitude and have the will and want to train to become a hands-on skilled Paint Technician.
Training will be provided to cover all aspects of shot blasting, fully preparing, wet spraying, and powder coating a range of chassis and ancillary component / materials. The role requires operating to a high quality / workmanship standards within a world class manufacturing team and facility.

Responsibilities and Duties after Training:*
- Interpreting technical & safety data sheets to ensure:
- Understanding spray / powder gun functions and able to strip down clean and re-assemble;
- Setting up spray / powder guns and equipment;
- Powdering direct to bare metal from a provided set process, and undercoating components to achieve ‘Right First Time’ results;
- Spraying 2K topcoats over wet primers achieving ‘Right First Time’ results;
- Completing various planned Maintenance tasks on all Paint Spraying, Powder Coating & Preparation equipment;
- Achieving high-quality standards on all components;
- Maintain a clean environment within the department;
- Use correct/defined consumables for preparation & sanding of metal & polymer components before paint / powder application;
- Identifying material surface defects on parts prior paint / powder and repairing;
- Masking, final paint / powder preparation, handling parts on and off paint / powder runways.
- Moving chassis parts in and out of paint / powder booths.

Working Hours & Salary*
Working hours will be 37.5 basic hours per week, on a rotating shift basis.

Early *shift hours will be 6.00am – 2.00pm Monday – Thursday, and 6.00am – 11.30am on Fridays.
Late shift hours will be 2.00pm – 10.00pm Monday – Thursday, and 11.30am – 5.00pm on Fridays.
Salary - Guaranteed basic starting salary £11.00 per hour x 37.5 hours per week PLUS a shift premium of 15% of your basic hourly rate.
Overtime is paid at a premium depending on hours worked:
