Job description
An opportunity has arisen within our busy company for a position of Trainee Operations Clerk.
The role is to assist our operations team. No prior logistics knowledge is needed as all training will be in-house. Working to a high standard, while maintaining and developing customer relationships.
The ideal applicant will gain full knowledge of import / export operations including H M customs procedures.
Responsibilities would be -
Handling freight movements from start to finish
Customer quotations
Operationally handle shipments on our in house system
Deliver high levels of customer service
Support commercial awareness and assist our management team
Support and assist colleagues in other departments
Any other duties as required for the smooth operation of the departments

Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
Computer literate
Attention to detail
Flexible approach and attitude
Excellent organisational skills
