TRAINEE OFFSHORE TECHNICIAN
Location: Livingston
Accountable to: Operations Manager
Salary: £19,440 -£21,600
FoundOcean is the subsea and offshore grouting specialist for the global energy construction industries. Its primary business is securing structures to the seabed by foundation grouting. FoundOcean provides structural repair services for subsea and offshore structures, as well as pipeline and cable support and protection services.

This job is an offshore working role with travel away from home required but also involves onshore workshop work.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in the setting up and safe running of grouting equipment
- Perform sampling and testing of grout mixes.
- Ensure safe operating practices are adhered to
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area
- Communicate with other crew members
- Aiding crew in mobilisation and set-up of all plant and equipment
- Work under the Supervision of FoundOcean Supervisor Grouting
Maintaining Company and Operational Standards – Health and Safety
- Know, understand and ensure compliance with the safety regulations (Occupational
Health and Safety Regulations and Code) and safety policies and procedures
- Ensure quality assurance through safety procedures
- Follow project specific procedures for the work to be carried out and as amended
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Possesses a relevant qualification or has experience of working with plant and equipment used in construction activities
- Knowledge of Health and safety requirements and standards
- Previous experience working within an offshore organisation
- Possesses locally recognised offshore safety certification including but not restricted to:
- BOSIET and MIST
- MEDICAL
- Working at Height
- Confined Space
- First Aid
- Security Awareness
- Seaman's Discharge Book

Due to the nature of offshore work, the following information provides the rates you will be
paid in relation to specific scenarios:
- Offshore project: Off base Mon-Fri -£175; Weekend daily allowance Sat-Sun
£315; Overtime after 12 hours at rate communicated.
- Maintenance Trip/Onshore Project: Off base Mon-Fri - £65; Weekend daily allowance Sat-Sun £225; Overtime after 8 hours communicated.
- Short-haul travel (within Europe): Off base Mon-Fri £65; Weekend daily allowance Sat-
Sun £225; Overtime N/A.
- Long haul travelling: Off base Mon-Fri - £65; Weekend daily allowance Sat-Sun £225;
Overtime paid 4 hours max Monday - Thursday and 8 hours max on Friday and 0 hours on weekends.

- Visa Interviews/Training (Outside UK): Off base Mon-Fri £65; N/A; N/A.
