Job description
An opportunity has arisen for a trainee medical photographer/s to join our team for a fixed two year period. The position is part time, working between 15-37 hours per week.
The medical photography service operates over three sites; Basildon Hospital and Broomfield Hospital are the base sites and the department is re-establishing services at the Southend Hospital site. The department/s are busy units photographing approximately 10,000 patients per year (at each base site).
Candidates should ideally havea qualification in photography and have had experience of working within the photography field. Evidence of work experience within a Medical Photography department would be highly desirable. Experience with working with video would also be desirable as the department is keen to develop this service.
The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, conscientious and be able to work well in a team and also independently. You will have sufficient computer skills and be familiar with Photoshop, Office and possibly some experience of Databases. As you will be expected to work closely with medical and support staff, good communication skills are essential.
