Trainee Management Accountant
Salary: £28,000 to £33,000
Type: Permanent, Full time (35 hours per week)

About the role
We’re searching for a Trainee Management Accountant to join our friendly and hard-working team at A2Dominion. This role will report to the Management Accountant for assistance in the preparation of A2D Homes, A2D South, A2D Housing Options and A2D Residential financial reporting and all other financial information associated with these entities.
Key responsibilities:
- To assist in the preparation of A2D Homes, A2D South, A2D Housing Options and A2D Residential management accounts and commentary in accordance with the Finance Team’s timetable, ensuring that all financial activities are conducted in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations.
- To assist the Management Accountants in providing all financial support and analysis for the four entities management accounts and functional reports.
- To assist in the preparation of all four entities annual budgets and forecasts, by effective monitoring, ensure they are delivered on time and to provide information as required to the Management Accountants.
- To assist in the regular reviews with the budget holders, information requirements and ensure service delivery is of the quality required for effective management.
- Assist in preparation of the annual statutory accounts with the appropriate audit schedules and backing information within the agreed timetable and liaising with the auditors as necessary.
- Assist the team in ensuring that the departmental timetables for monthly, quarterly and annual routines surrounding reconciliation’s, period end, year-end, production of management accounts, annual accounts, budgets and forecasts are met.
- To continually review and recommend process improvements and comply with recommendations from Internal and External Audit Reviews.
- To be involved in project work, as well as testing and implementing new systems as and when required.
More about you:
- For this role, we’re looking for someone with the following:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths & English (Grades A* - C)
- Actively studying or has already committed to study towards an accounting professional qualification. Ideally being either ACCA or CIMA
- Self-motivated to build a career in Finance
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook and ability to learn new software
- Proven analytical skills
