Job description
We have a vacancy for a trainee/junior kennel hand to work in our busy boarding kennels and cattery situated in Thorrington, just outside Colchester.
Working as part of a friendly team, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of care to the dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, chickens, parrots and other small animals who board with us. At peak times you will be working as part of a team caring for around 100 animals.
Standard hours of work are 40 hours per week, 07:30-16:30 including alternate weekends.
No experience is required but previous examples of volunteering in an animal care setting would be beneficial. This role would suit a school leaver. Full training will be given.
PLEASE NOTE: The work in the kennels is physically demanding and at busy times can be quite pressured.
Due to the rural location of the kennels, your own transport is essential as public transport options are limited.
For further information, please send a copy of your CV along with a short introduction via Indeed, we will respond once we have reviewed your application.
Please don't email us direct, only applications sent via Indeed.co.uk will be considered, direct applications will be ignored.
