Role Objectives
The successful candidate will be working as part of a drawing office team learning to create a large range of 2D and 3D CAD drawings using a variety of CAD and Mapping Software, as well as undertaking Third Party Utility Searches, processing Topographical data and producing project-specific documentation.
Main Responsibilities
- Using MicroStation & ArcGIS to produce a range of Mapping Deliverables for our Utilities, Vegetation Mapping and Profiling Sections.
- With support, provide the Project Engineering Teams with CAD and Design support throughout projects.
- Ensure all drawings are prepared, stored, issued, and archived in accordance with company procedures and assist with storage, filing and archiving of documents.
- Complying with relevant Industry and Company Standards.
Personal Requirements
- Strong IT, numeracy, and communication skills
- Great attention to detail and spatial awareness skills
- Ideally educated to A Level standard but must have at least 5 GCSE’s grade 4-9, or equivalent including English and Maths
- Be keen and flexible with a genuine interest in a career in Computer Aided Design
- Be a good team player with a willingness to learn and develop
- Be self-motivated, proactive and can meet deadlines
- Be organised with an ability to multitask and keep paperwork in order
