Trainee IT Support Engineer - 6 month contract with potential to become permanent

Full time 6 month contract working to the Panama Schedule (a balance of day and night shifts) with an additional 22 days annual leave and benefits package.

You will be dealing with our multinational and multicultural client base who have high demands for fast response to their mission critical systems.
We offer a continuous, structured training program and are happy to consider applications from those with limited commercial experience. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate their ability to learn quickly, consume detail and pride themselves on improving our client support experience. In addition to our structured in-house training, we encourage and support all team players to engage in external educational training that we pay for with time off to attend.
The position would suit somebody who is looking to get into their first role in engineering support, you will ideally have GCSE, A level or higher level education in Computing, ICT or similar disciplines. However you should still apply if you can display confidence and interest in anything technology based.
Day to day duties include
- Answering incoming telephone calls and emails from clients who have issues with the software
- Diagnosing customer issues patiently and calmly
- Remotely resolving customer issues in a confident and professional manner and escalating to different departments where necessary
- Assisting with training customers on products where need be
- Working towards KPI’s and SLA ticket response times to ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure all queries or issues are logged onto the support ticketing system
- Resolving any tickets within a timely manner

Familiarity with cloud based software and an interest in problem solving would be an advantage to picking up the role quickly.
This is a fully working from home role and while we will provide you with full training and continuous support from the team, it is essential that you are a self-starter and are comfortable working remotely. You should also ensure you have reliable and fast broadband set up.
