These roles will give fantastic experience on hands on work with a vast array of the latest IT technology and also a full grounding in Business Administration. These roles are for young people looking to enter the IT Industry and to gain experience. Becoming proficient technically and also by developing great practical business administration skills mean that it is an excellent preparation and will provide a great foundation and platform allowing different paths to be open upon successful completion of the traineeship period.

About the role what you will be doing:

The work is varied and interesting and throws up new challenges most days – never a dull moment! It is not a purely technical role however as you will have exposure to many aspects of Business Administration. You will be using Microsoft Teams, Skype, Databases, Microsoft Office, Google Apps, eBay and Amazon Control systems.

By the end of the traineeship you will have had a wide business grounding - ideal for your future development.

Some of the technical and processing aspects you would be involved with are as detailed below:

· The company takes in many deliveries of stock from suppliers such as Hewlett Packard, DELL Computers and Lenovo. The products range from gaming machines through Business laptops and PCs and on to many varied types Enterprise computing equipment such as mobile and desktop/tower workstations and networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco. When they arrive it is ‘all hands to the wheel’ to ensure everything expected has been delivered and in the right quantities and conditions. You will help with this process.

· More detailed evaluation of each product then takes please prior to it often then entering a light production process. You will learn how to test, upgrade and to work with a great many different makes and models of IT equipment. Defined production procedures will be explained and detailed data recorded by you during the process.

· You will often carry out software installations and upgrades primarily with Microsoft Windows operating systems.

· Many products undertake a refurbishment and renewal process of some sort - you will learn about this, perhaps carry out some of this work or arrange for goods to go to an external processing company. You will learn all procedures surrounding this.

· Preparing individual products for sale and shipment and also preparing larger shipments to be sent to Amazon – this is something that you may become involved in.

· You will learn to use necessary sections of the production flow in-house database control system.

· You will often have to be in touch with manufacturers and other processing companies and perhaps to arrange warranty repairs or simply to seek technical help to trouble shoot technical problems.

· By time you have successfully completed your traineeship you will be well versed in many things and will also have had a fantastic introduction to working in a professional business environment and knowing what is expected.

About You – A Selection of Ideal Characteristics

· Be hard working, reliable and committed. Have excellent timekeeping.

· Have a strong interest in IT whether gaming or otherwise, perhaps you have already built your own PC? (Definitely not essential!)

· Be enthusiastic, enjoy a challenge, like to solve problems and not to be ‘stumped’!

· Realise that it is ok and actually ‘the smart thing to do’, to ask questions --- as that is the way to learn and to avoid mistakes.

· Have the ability to work effectively and efficiently and to be self-motivated.

· Have excellent attention to detail and to be able to follow and implement procedures

· Be friendly and helpful to others and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

· Have good IT and communication skills.
