Trainee IT Business Applications Analyst

Silentnight, the UK’s most trusted sleep brand, are looking for a Trainee IT Business Applications Analyst to join their in-house IT Applications team.

Reporting to the Business Applications Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to join an established team, delivering exciting projects using modern industry leading applications and supporting the day-to-day operations.

Silentnight is looking for someone passionate about implementing technology to initially work on small projects, provide analyst support to the business and deal with helpdesk requests.

Training/mentoring will be provided.

Essential Skills

  • Experience of manufacturing/supply chain business processes and involvement in their creation/modification
  • Some commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exposure to JD Edwards and supply chain systems or comparative software is desirable but not essential
  • High level of computer literacy is essential
  • Strong team player and ability to collaborate with stakeholders of all levels
  • Ability to prioritise competing work and initiative to complete tasks.
  • Understanding of project management

Responsibilities

Training will be given working towards the following responsibilities:

· Business requirement gathering, translating requirements into clear work specifications for both business and technical users. This involves facilitating workshops, collating requirements and evidence from the requester

· Identify and assess potential solutions for both technical and business suitability

· Work closely with developers and end users to ensure technical solutions deliver customer satisfaction

· Deliver user training

· Provide analysis support to members of the IT Business Applications team

· Offer help desk support

Contract/Benefits

· £20,000 - £25,000 depending on experience

· Full-time 37.5 hours per week

The role is based on site at Barnoldswick, Lancashire but with some opportunity for hybrid working and limited travel to other sites and suppliers when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
