Trainee/Intermediate/Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The role:
- To work with the QS Management and team, in commercial & contractual liaison & support to all functions/departments
- To visit project sites to gather & record necessary commercial & contractual information
- The creation of project documentation for Quality Assurance compliance.
- Pricing and Issuing Variation documentation to clients.
- Negotiation of Final accounts in conjunction with the contracts team
- Responsible for issuing applications and invoices for the contracts department.
- Responsible for debt & retention chasing for the Hamilton contracts & small works.
- Assisting in the management of cash flow on projects including preparation of financial information for Managers and assist in the identification, management & preparation of financial variations.
- Assisting in monitoring & recording contract control activities and update/amend as necessary & accurately record and process related documents and records.
- To provide administrative support in connection with all QS functions.
- To Build and maintain customer confidence and build long term relationships with clients
- Developing an understanding of the full range of products and services offered by Compco Fire.
- Developing an understanding of all relevant standards and codes of practice.
- Continued self-development in role.
Role Requirements
- Experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in a Construction or M&E environment would be preferred
- Show an aptitude towards good logic, analytical and numerical skills
- Minimum of grade ‘C’ Maths & English GCSE (or equivalent)
- Demonstrate an interest in and a desire to pursue a career in Quantity Surveying
- Commitment to continued education and improvement through on-the-job learning and training opportunities.
- Practical, adaptable and enthusiastic
- Excellent communication skills.
