A horticultural qualification or horticultural experience would be preferred.We are able to offer a competitive salary for the right candidate, dependent upon experience and qualifications.Your day-to-day duties and responsibilities as a Trainee Horticulturist will include:General maintenance and presentation of gardens and groundsAssisting with lawn care and soft landscapingMaintaining plant beds and borders: planting, mulching, pruning, cultivation, watering and weed controlAssisting with carrying and moving plants, tools, equipment and heavy loadsLearning how to safely use a range of equipment and machinery for: strimming, mowing, leaf blowing, hedge cutting and tree worksCandidate knowledge/skills/experience/qualities:Basic knowledge of plants and horticulture techniquesPrior gardening experience - preferredGood communication and interpersonal skillsCooperative and enthusiastic natureConfident communicating with clients and assisting with queriesAbility to work well independently and as part of a teamAttention to detail and pride in workMaintains a high standard of workConscientious, organised and with good time managementKeen to develop in their role and undertake trainingJob Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: £24,382.00 per yearBenefits:Employee discountFree parkingOn-site parkingSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types:Bonus schemeLicence/Certification:Driving Licence (required)Work Location: In person
