We are really excited to be offering a fantastic opportunity for new staff to step in to the NHS as a Health Care Apprentice. This is open to anybody of any age who wishes to commence a career in health. This opportunity has the potential to lead you to achieving a nursing registration if this is your dream
We welcome applications from individuals wishing to become an Apprentice and gain experience in the NHS. You will develop new skills and knowledge whilst working with an established team gaining valuable work experience and a recognised level 2 apprenticeship qualification in Health. The apprentice pathway allows you to study whilst earning and with all your course costs supported

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview assessment centre in person.
There is no option for this to be virtual and will take place on Saturday 22nd April 2023.
Kettering General Hospital is offering a number of positions for those who can demonstrate that they have a strong commitment to learning, and can demonstrate that they have a caring and compassionate approach in supporting others. In addition, you will be required to exhibit excellent communication skills both verbally and written, and the ability to act with professionalism at all times.
You will learn how to;
- Support individuals with their day to day activities of daily living including; eating and drinking, personal care, and mobility and promote independence.
- Enable and assist individuals to maintain their personal hygiene.
- Contribute to the safe movement and handling of people, using equipment and ensure service user safety and comfort.
- Perform clinical tasks which will include body temperature, height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, urinary output, breathing rate, oxygen saturation, and blood sugar levels.
- Provide hands on care and support to people who are in the end of life stage as a result of having a life limiting illness.
- Promote physical independence, mental health and wellbeing, providing opportunistic brief advice on health and wellbeing in line with ‘Making Every Contact Count’ principles.
