Abbey Glass (Derby) is recruiting for a trainee glazier/glass cutter based in Derby
The Role
You will be trained in glazing methods and associated jobs on customer’s premises and glass cutting and related tasks within the workshop
You will be working alongside fully trained team members, leading to NVQ level 2 qualification.
You will also be expected to undertake other learning opportunities, such as manual handling, health and safety, scaffold and access equipment training
You will be provided with uniform and all PPE equipment.
The Candidate
As this is a trainee position, no experience is needed but the ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn and expand their knowledge base, backed up by a practical, mature attitude and the capacity to work alone or as part of a team.
A successful training period will lead to the candidate being offered a permanent position in the company
Hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30 to 5pm and Friday 7.30 to 4.00 with opportunity for weekend overtime.
