More about your role
You will assist the Homes Plus finance team in providing a professional and fully comprehensive management accounting service including the preparation and understanding of actual results as well as expected forecast performance across various regions and central support functions within the Homes Plus team of the Places for People Group. You will assist in reporting, analysis, provision of advice and direction to operational staff/budget holders on all financial matters.
You will provide ad-hoc information to budget holders to assist them to improving the efficiency, economy, profitability and effectiveness of their businesses, whilst monitoring income, expenditure, cash flow, assets and liabilities and management of budgets, identifying issues at the earliest opportunity.
Please be advised this is a hybrid role from our Preston, Lancashire office. To be considered for this role you will need to be in a commutable distance from this office.

More about you
You will have an appetite to learn and develop as a finance professional. An ability and willingness to study towards a relevant qualification (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) We need someone that has experience of influencing their customers and has dealt with senior stakeholders including senior managers and/or Directors.
You will have good IT skills and be at ease with Excel where you will already have a strong understanding of formulas including lookups and ideally pivot tables. We are looking for someone with an appetite to widen their knowledge of management accounting and in doing so provide support to the financial team as well as the wider operational team.
