Trainee Field Engineer Job Description

We are looking for a keen and motivated individual with a clean driving license to join our engineering team as a trainee field engineer.

Following successful completion of their training the trainee will become part of our installation team, deploying Cloudcell EQ solutions into customer premises. Training will be provided through a combination of theoretical, practical and ‘on the job’ training sessions delivered by our experienced engineers. Once the candidate has completed their training, they will have the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site surveys to evaluate the availability and performance of 4G, 4G+, 5G and WiFi coverage.
  • Manage the configuration and setup of high-end cellular routers.
  • Carry out the deployment of cellular routers and antennas at customer sites.
  • Perform the setup of customers' internal WiFi networks and connectivity to on site equipment (routers, firewalls and switches), including cable installation and VPN configuration.
  • Provide support to the technical operations team to rapidly resolve customer faults and queries.
  • Oversee updating and monitoring of relevant internal/external IT systems with installation information.

Salary: £18,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
