Trainee/Fibre Installation Engineer Exeter, England
Job description
Reacol Group Limited is an engineering business in Exeter, Devon. We are professional, agile and supportive professionals providing optic fibre services to Communication Providers in the UK.
We are looking for Network Fibre Installation Engineers who are determined to progress in this career path to join our team. Experienced engineers are preferred but we are willing to train those who are determined to grow with us. We will invest in successful candidates by passing on knowledge, providing accredited training and mentorship, and ultimately leading the engineer to become more valuable and earn higher wages as they build their experience. The right candidate will have experience working with various types of equipment and will have the ability to work on his or her own.
Responsibilities:
- Cable pulling (fibre optics cable)
- Rod & rope (Using rods to prove underground ducts)
- Physically fit, able to cope with performing ground works activities and cable pulling
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies
- Surveying
- Splicing and Testing
- Be able to answer customer's questions about installation and maintenance
- Have access to tools necessary for installation
- Be comfortable using tools.
- Be able to install a cable in a remote location.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within the Telecommunications industry is desirable, but not essential
- Be prepared to undergo a DBS check.
- Full UK driving license
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Be prepared to undergo NRWSA accreditation.
- Willing to do both UG and OH fibre installations
- Willing to stay long-term and grow a career within the company

Salary: £400.00-£700.00 per week
