Trainee Domestic Appliance Engineer - Service 87

Service 87 Ltd are based in Alton and cover the Reading, Guildford, Slough and Basingstoke areas. We are a small team with 5 Engineers and 3 office staff and are expanding as a result of additional work volumes from long established clients.

You as the ideal Trainee Domestic Appliance Engineer will be:
Mechanically/electrically minded- Confident in using hand tools
- Have a keen interest in repairs and/or workings of appliances/ devices/ machinery/ Cars/motorbikes/DIY
- Proficient in using technology – i.e. tablets/mobile phones/Microsoft packages
The role will involve working in our customer’s home where you will meet a variety of people from all walks of life so excellent interpersonal skills are a must. You will also need to be:

- Trustworthy and reliable
- Team Player
- Flexible to working hours
- Articulate and a good communicator
- Good with English (verbally and written)
Important: You will need to hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

- Salary from £19,760 per annum to £21,840 per annum dependent on age
Experience and skills:
No experience in White Goods repair (washing machines, dishwashers, Fridge/freezers, cookers, microwaves) is needed as full training will be given, however we are looking for candidates with a background/interest in practical/hands on roles with skills that can be transferred into this role. Electrical and/or ACS gas qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
