We are a bespoke furniture and interiors company specialising in Kitchens, Bedrooms and Home Offices. We design and create handmade, bespoke interiors and are looking for a Trainee Designer to work in our established,design studio in Chelmsford, Essex. We are hugely ambitious and believe this is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our dynamic growing team.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about excellent customer service and have some previous experience in a retail based environment. As well as this you will be computer literate, knowledge of CAD packages are beneficial but not essential as training will be given.
You must be able to work to deadlines and have good organisational skills; as well as having ambition. Overall we are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated individual. We are looking for an individual that wants to learn and is looking to start their career. We are a small team and so every single one of the team is important and plays their part. Your role will be to:
– Communicate with customers over the telephone, email and face to face
– Work closely with the Design Consultant, learning the design process right through from the initial design consultation for a room through to designing every detail and finally delivering on the full project.
– Liaise with the Operations Director, Install Manager, Purchasing department and other staff members
– Provide shop cover, so the ability to work alone and unsupervised is essential
Further Information:
– Driving licence and vehicle are beneficial, not essential
– Experience in a kitchen design environment is extremely beneficial, but again not essential
– Knowledge of using computer aided design packages is also beneficial
– Experience gained in a retail or customer focused background would be preferred
– This role will involve working some Saturdays

Salary: Up to £20,000.00 per year
