Trainee Decking Installer / Fitters assistant Chesterfield

Avaliable Job Today We are looking for two - three people to join our friendly and dynamic team manufacturing and fitting UPVC decks and skirting to static caravans. Our workshop is based in Staveley, with excellent links to Sheffield & Chesterfield.
The right candidates will ideally have experience in joinery, manufacturing, engineering or be a keen DIYer although full training will be provided.
No previous experience necessary as full training will be provided.
Skills required:
-Be reliable & hard-working
-Ability to learn
-Be able to use a tape measure, level, mitre saw and other hand tools accurately
-Be able to work from own initiative in a fast-paced work environment
-Be able to work with metric and imperial measurements
-Excellent attention to detail
-Ability to understand technical drawings & written instruction
-Be physically strong and able to lift heavy deck sections.
Duties Include
-Manufacturing the deck sections and components in the workshop
-Travelling to site to fit the decking
-Using hand and power tools
-Working from job cards and technical drawings.
Pay is £11.00 per hour with easily achievable bonus of up to £2.00 per hour by completing jobs on time. This averages out at £12.50 plus per hour overall. Please note 18-20 year olds will start on a lower rate of £10.50 but will increase to full rate after 12 months

The Job is 40 hours per week, which will normally be worked over four days, but there is usually plenty of overtime available. We deliver and fit nationwide, so there will be some long days required. The candidates must be flexible.
