Job description
We are looking for a talented and dynamic individual to join the team within the Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service (HMDS) in Leeds. This is an opportunity to become part of a highly successful department with extensive facilities and high levels of scientific expertise. The post holder will undergo an AHCS equivalence training programme, with a time limited and performance monitored 3 year training contract, predominantly delivered via HMDS, with the expectation that HCPC registration will be gained as a Clinical Scientist in Genomics. On registration the post holder will automatically move to a band 7 permanent position.
The post holder will be focused in the FISH/molecular section of the department and will work alongside laboratory based Biomedical Scientists, other advanced Biomedical Scientists, Clinical Scientists and Consultant Haematologist/Haematopathologists to maintain and develop the service.
