Come and join our exciting Kitchen team that is located in the stunning historic four-star hotel situated in 500 acres of beautiful parkland. We are part of No Ordinary Hospitality Management that have several sites across the UK including the St Mary’s Guild hall which is a heritage site located in Coventry city’s historic Cathedral Quarter. We serve fantastic quality food, delivering great value and personable service with incredible views and individual character and style. Although creating food is of course an important part of the job, this role entails so much more. You are integral to the restaurant when it comes to delivering amazing service for our guests. You will have the opportunity to make someone’s day – every day. Your primary objective is to create a fantastic and memorable dining experience for all our guests leaving them to want to come back again.
We are on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals looking to kick start their career as a Chef! Some experience necessary or finished/studying Chef Cookery college course. You will need the drive and be willing to learn. The role can involve evening and weekend work.
We are seeking a Trainee Chef to work under the guidance of our experienced kitchen team helping to deliver fantastic food to our guests. You will work with the team and assist with daily deliveries, measure and prepare ingredients, prepare local produce and assist with stock rotation.
This role is perfect for anyone looking to forge a career within a professional kitchen team, whether you have just finished school/ college or looking for a change of career, within the team you will have the chance to excel and hone your cookery skills.
You must have the ability to:
· Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift
· Accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
· Be a skilled Multitasker in a fast-paced environment
· Able to clean the workspace and storerooms as required
· Be organised
· Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safe environment for our customers, our clients and ourselves.
· Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered
