Due to ongoing expansion Thornton & Baines currently have an opportunity for two motivated and energetic individuals to join our Academy as Trainee Independent Financial Advisers.
We are an industry leader in providing Independent Wealth Management with over 18 years of experience in advising clients from all walks of life.
Not only are we one of the few companies specialising in Inheritance Tax planning we are truly unique in providing a training academy which takes individuals with no prior experience in financial services from trainee to independent financial adviser. Throughout your training programme you will have the ability to earn as follows on a self-employed basis:
Year 1 £25ks plus
Year 2 £45ks plus
Year 3 £60ks plus*
*Fast track role, fully qualified 12-18 months.
You will shadow a senior adviser and receive both personal and group training throughout, with weekly 1-2-1s and structured feedback to ensure your ongoing development. You will also receive funding, study material and study leave for your industry exams.
From the very start you will be building your own client base, via the provision of warm, sourced leads. To begin with you will obviously not be able to – either legally or technically - see clients on your own. However as you gain experience and qualifications these clients will revert to you and become the basis for your very own client bank.

A willingness to provide excellent (initial and ongoing) client service
Key Responsibilities:
· First contact with potential clients.
· Relationship building and maintaining long-lasting relationships.
· Providing potential clients with an understanding of our products and services.
· Analysing clients’ needs and objectives, auditing their current affairs
Calculating Inheritance Tax liability and making onward referrals where necessary
· Organising and advising on trusts, wills and identifying investment and pension opportunities
· Taking legal instructions and delivering the end product to clients.
This is a full-time, office-based (Central London) position.
This is not a WFH role.

Salary: £20,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
