The Role
The role offered will see you work alongside our experienced team in some of the world's finest properties as a trainee smart home engineer. We will invest in your training which will see you get hands on experience with the full scope of smart home technology including:
- Private Dolby Atmos home cinemas,
- Multi-room audio visual systems and reference grade audio,
- Intelligent lighting control systems,
- Motorised window treatments,
- HVAC and building management systems,
- Security including CCTV & video door entry,
- ICT, networks, & telephony,
- Smart home automation systems such as Crestron, Savant & Control 4,
The smart home industry is an interesting and highly technical field of home electronics offering many different career paths, from engineering, through software programming and project management, to sales and design consultancy.
Candidate Requirements & Desired Abilities
The trainee engineer role would suit candidates with:
- Strong computer skills.
- Good problem solving skills or enjoyment of lateral thinking puzzles.
- An interest in learning programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, HTML etc.
- Relevant technical hobbies such as graphic design, or music and video production.
- Ability to absorb technical information and apply it.
- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent time keeping skills.
- Good listener.
- Proactive team player.
- GCSE or equivalent grades C and above in English, Maths, and Science.
