An exciting opportunity for a Trainee operative to join AmcoGiffen Aviation and support our growing business unit on a number of key frameworks and major schemes at various Airports and MOD sites across the UK.

Business Unit

AmcoGiffen Aviation is currently involved in a number of key frameworks and major schemes (at varying stages of the project lifecycle) at various Airports and MOD sites across the UK. In order to support the planned growth of the business, we have a vacancy for a Trainee operative to join our Aviation team.

The Role

As an AmcoGiffen Trainee operative you will have an exciting opportunity to work on major airports and will be responsible for delivering high standards of workmanship. You will work as an integral team member on a variety of tasks enabling you to build your competence, whilst being fully supported by the team.

You will spend 18 months studying towards an NVQ Level 2 Diamond Drilling and Sawing Concrete Occupations with our preferred training provider, who will visit and assess you in the workplace in addition to you completing an online portfolio of evidence. You will also be required to attend two-day training workshops at their training centre in Nottingham, approximately every 10-12 weeks. All dates will be confirmed during your enrolment and travel and accommodation will be arranged for you.

You will receive a competitive hourly rate and your team will give you a warm welcome from day one helping you to settle into your new role.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will have to provide:

  • Clean driving license
  • Ability to obtain Airside pass in the form of Basic Disclosure Certificate
  • DfT recognised General Security Awareness Training
  • 5-year checkable work history and home address
