The Acute Medical Therapies Team at Warrington and Halton Hospitals is delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for someone with good communication skills and a desire to work with patients in an acute care setting to join our service.
We are looking for a suitable person to join the team as a Trainee Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner. This position will involve a training programme which will commence as a band 3 working towards progression to a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner. The successful candidate will need to hold a degree in a complimentary subject to the healthcare setting to satisfy the band 4 job description criteria.
We have a diverse team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants to support in the delivery of therapy to inpatients across the acute medical bed base. This includes working in areas such as Older Persons Care, Cardiology, Medicine, and Dementia Care. The post will involve providing therapy assessments and interventions for a diverse patient group. The role includes communicating with patients who may have communication difficulties and you will need to have both good verbal and written communication skills. We are a large and friendly team, able to offer ongoing support, regular team meetings, and supervision as part of your career development.
