Job summary
Lawrence House Group is seeking to recruit a full time Trainee Assistant Manager with excellent interpersonal, customer service and organisational skills to join our team.
You would be part of our friendly, supportive and committed management team, consisting of the Managing Partner, a Clinical Support Operations Manager, 2 Assistant Operations Managers and Lead Nurse, as well as the wider practice team.
To act as a focal point of communication between the GPs, Managing Partner and other members of the primary health care team.
Ensure all Human Resource requirements are kept up to date.
To ensure administrative and clerical duties with in the practice are carried out with in the practices guidelines and policies.
To ensure the day-to-day activities of the practice are carried out accordingly.
Main duties of the job
The Trainee Assistant Manager is a vital role within the practice, supporting both clinical and non-clinical colleagues. You will be responsible for managing the day to day matters of the practice, ensuring that all staff employed by the practice function efficiently and effectively and patients are happy with the services they receive from the practice.
Attention to detail and flexibility in the role is important as is the ability to multitask. This is a high profile, challenging and rewarding role within the practice. This role is ideally suited to individuals that thrive in a constantly changing environment and enjoy taking ownership

Lawrence House Group (LHG) is part of 4 Surgeries with a warm and friendly team located in a busy and vibrant area in The North East of Haringey.
Our dedicated team including eleven GP partners, four nurses, clinical pharmacists, first contact practitioners, reception staff, practice manager and practice administrators.
We are a well-established, friendly teaching practice, and our dedicated team including 14 GP's, 5 nurses and 4 HCAs, as well as Pharmacists, Physician Associates and Social Prescribers. We have been providing a full range of GP services for over 40 years and have a patient list size of over 26,000 patients.
We are Based in the heart of East Haringey, we have excellent travel links by car and public transport. Tottenham is a vibrant and popular area of London with excellent links to other parts of London via underground and overground stations, buses and car.

In participation with the Managing Partner plan and manage the Human resources
Deal with any problems reported by other members of the health care team
Encourage and support personal development of members of the heath care team
Maintain self and team professionalism
Keep the health care team informed of any matters arising as necessary, or as requested by other members of the health care team
Keep the Managing Partner informed of any matters arising or problems / potential problems
Oversee the staff and doctors Rota
Job responsibilities
Oversee the recruitment and retention of staff and provide a general personnel management service
Ensure that all staff is legally and gainfully employed. Monitor skill-mix and deployment of staff
Evaluate, organize and oversee staff induction and training and ensure that all staff are adequately trained to fulfil their role
Support and mentor staff, both as individuals and as team members
Implement effective systems for the resolution of disputes and grievances
