Our busy Accounts department is seeking a Trainee Account Clerk to join their team. Due to the demands of the job, personal organisation must be excellent and the candidate must have the ability to adhere to strict time limits which includes prioritising certain work when necessary.
The Candidate:
Required qualifications, skills and experience
A sound mathematical and analytical background with computer literacy is a requirement. Training will be provided on all other aspects of the role. The ability to provide the highest standards of client care in line with the BRR Law culture and ethos.
Main Responsibilities
- To undertake daily banking functions including bank reconciliations
- The administration and reconciliation of petty cash
- The processing of client and office accounting transactions including postings
- The preparation of cheques
- The processing of bank transfers
- Administration of the Purchase Ledger
- Cover for Post Room responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities
- Processing of payments
- Production of MI for Practice Manager as instructed
- Administration of the File Archiving System
- Provided administrative cover for Post Room and Reception.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
The Role pays at least minimum wage. Parking provided on site.
28 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 33 days with service.
Working Hours: Full time (permanent) Monday-Friday 9.00 to 5.00
