We are looking to recruit a Trainee Accounts Assistant. Applicants should have a good working knowledge of Finance. A logistics background would be an advantage but is not essential. The successful candidate will need to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Working as part of a team they will also need to be able to work on their own initiative. A support package is available for study towards AAT level 4.

Key responsibilities will include:

Filing and maintaining information logs as appropriate.
Processing Purchase and Sales Ledger invoices.
Dealing with queries, filing and general administration tasks
Resolve invoice queries with suppliers and members of staff.
Chase key staff for return and approval of invoices.
Enter expense claims.
Assist in the preparation of payments
Bank Reconciliations.
Assist with answering the telephones.
To carry out any other adhoc duties as requested by line management

Profile

Competent user of Word, Excel and Outlook.
Working knowledge of Sage 50.
Ability to prioritise own workload and ensure deadlines are met.
Good communication skills
AAT Level 2 or higher
Minimum education requirements: Maths and English and / or Welsh GCSE grade C or above.
Willingness to progress.
