In this Trainee Accountant opportunity you will join one of our most successful firms with offices based in Chester, Wrexham and Wirral. The firm is well established and made up of group of skilled specialists who have strong client base spanning across a number of industry sectors including sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities.
As a trainee accountant, you will join our Wrexham office and will be exposed to a mix of accounts and audit work, while you are studying towards your accounting qualifications.
What you will be doing:
Training will be provided by more senior experienced staff to enable the following duties to be carried out;
- Bookkeeping duties using computerised accounting systems such as Xero, Sage and Quickbooks
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of accounts for owner managed limited companies, sole traders and partnerships , by processing data from the client’s records
- Preparation of business and corporation tax computations
- Participating in on site audits as a junior and undertaking relevant tasks as required by the Audit Senior
- Preparation of VAT returns
About you:
- Relevant degree preferred
- Some work previous work experience inside or outside of industry desired
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to use initiative
- The ability to learn as you go and put theory in to practice
- A strong desire to want to build a career within accountancy
- A team player
