Job description
The job advertised is for a trainee accountant who is looking for their first step into their career in accountancy or their next step to advance their career. We will support the successful candidate to become a qualified accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
The role will include the following duties:
- Prepare accounts for companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Prepare VAT returns
- Bookkeeping for a number of clients
- File statutory documents to Companies House and HMRC
- Manage various administrative duties as required by the firm
- Communicate with clients effectively to obtain information to perform the above duties
Entry requirements
Candidates are not expected to have any experience in accounts practice, but ideally have an understanding of accountancy and what public practice entails. We may be able to provide a more competitive package for those who already have some experience in an accountancy practice.
Candidates should:
- Have excellent communication and numerical skills,
- Attention to detail while performing their duties and good computer skills especially relating to the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
- Be an excellent team player as well being able to work independently.
- Show willingness and enthusiasm to their work and the drive enhance their skills.
- Willingness to learn about various pieces of software and able to adapt to different processes.
