The EUI Finance team are looking for their next trainee accountant.

In this role, you’ll work towards becoming a qualified accountant and gain experience across the different teams in Finance, covering management accounting, financial controls, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and business partnering, whilst developing relationships with colleagues at all levels across the business.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have a keen eye for detail.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of monthly management information
  • Take an active role in monitoring performance against budget
  • Support the annual budget process
  • Support the month end accounting close process
  • Perform control account reconciliations
  • Support the improvement of existing control and accounting processes
  • Provide information to stakeholders across finance and the wider business
  • Provide general support and perform ad-hoc tasks as required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally educated to degree level/AAT qualified
  • Self-motivated, proactive with a can-do attitude towards work
  • Strong numerical skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with management across the Group
  • Strong task management skills including the ability to balance both project and ad-hoc work with regular responsibilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy when producing work

The successful candidate will be supported to study towards their accounting qualification with all associated training and exam costs covered along with additional time off for study leave.
