Main Purpose
The holder of this post is responsible for the cleaning and presentation of trains, ensuring all trains are presented to the highest standard, to meet the expectations of our customers. Ensure all duties are carried out safely in accordance with local instructions following train presentation standards.
Who are you
You are someone who has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in your work. You may have experience of working shifts, including night shifts. You enjoy working as part of a team and put safety at the forefront of everything you do. Cleaning experience is not essential in this demanding and rewarding role but you should have a can do attitude, a willingness to learn and deliver your work to the highest standards.
Principal Accountabilities
- Clean and present trains for service in accordance with train presentation standards.
- Removal of internal and external graffiti.
- Undertake cleaning of biological hazards.
- Complete paperwork as required, detailing, and signing for all work carried out.
- Dispose of collected wet waste in accordance with local instructions.
- Carryout external cleaning of the train as required.
- Carryout CET duties as required.
- Advise Manager / Supervisor of any problems or defects identified.
- Work in accordance with C.O.S.H regulations
- Work effectively as part of a team
Additional Activities
- Additional tasks as specified by local manager.
- Ensure that changing and mess room facilities are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
Working Pattern
5 days out of 7. Shift lengths of 8hours. Earliest start 06:30, 22:00hrs latest finish.
Variable roster in place.
Applicants who require a visa, must have at least 6 months remaining at the time of their appointment.
