As the Trading Manager, you will lead the commercial trading strategy for Retail and CRM, finding opportunities to ensure we are attracting and retaining the customer required to achieve our Direct revenue and KPI’s. Focused on driving the optimal conversion and visitors to site, using data and insight to inform thinking and drive action. You’ll take a customer centric view to the retailing approach and define the elements of the end-to-end retail experience.
What you’ll do:
- Day to day retailing of ba.com utilising and interpreting insights such as, onsite conversion funnels, route search trends, abandonment volumes.
- Utilise website applications such as Adobe Analytics to develop insight on current onsite customer behaviour and works with Product Owners to drive improved outcomes.
- Own and lead market level plans (e.g. retail calendar) and share insight with broader marketing teams.
- Ensure onsite content is responsive to market conditions and work with teams such as Content Editors, Performance Marketing and Product Owners to define when is optimal to merchandise to customers.
- Working closely with Revenue Management and Marketing functions to conduct in-depth investigations into the performance of commercial activity, proactively producing clear, concise and objective insights to drive actions.
- Applies an iterative approach to promotional activity; collaborating with Product teams, Content, CRM, BAH and broader marketing teams.
- Defines the elements of the end-to-end retail experience including post-purchase pre travel and post travel.
- Keeps up to date with macro events, monitoring ecommerce competition and external trends
What you will bring:
- A strong influencer who can work collaboratively to get others on board, and drive the Commercial agenda as needed.
- Highly numerate with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to critically evaluate, draw conclusions and provide practical recommendations.
- Strong customer awareness, commercially astute both strategically and analytically, with ability to see application of data insights to business problems.
- Passionate and resilient with the ability to work in an evolving environment
- Strong relationship skills and effective teamwork with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent structured approach
- Ideally you will have Adobe Analytics or equivalent web analytics experience, but if not you can learn this on the job.
