International Field Based Role
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Trading Losses Specialist to join the WHSmith International team, to maximise company profitability by reducing losses and improving operational best practice, all whilst supporting the Trading Losses Manager to implement business strategy.

As a Trading Losses Specialist, you will be responsible for the delivery of our key trading losses strategy alongside all the key elements of this role.
What will you do?
- Deliver your Trading Losses expertise to Area and Store Managers to reduce shrinkage, known losses and improve operational best practice.
- Support the Implementation and delivery the strategy of Trading Losses into area plans and store operations.
- Train, coach and develop Area/Store Management and their teams in Operational processes and Trading Losses controls.
- Carry out targeted and cyclical store visits to assess operational performance and control measures.
- Support area store investigations and directly engage with high-risk stores.
- Identify key themes + trends through data analysis
- Review and respond to policies and procedures ensuring they offer best possible process.
- Key stakeholder relationships, influencing central operations and area managers.
- Be an ambassador of Trading Losses, offering exceptional expertise through clear and concise training.

The skills you will need:
- In depth experience of Loss Prevention and recent expertise.
- Experienced within Store Operations, understanding what ‘best’ looks like.
- Strong Financial awareness.
- Methodical, organized individual with a high attention to detail
- Effective and personable communicator to organize, influence and build strong positive relationships, ability to communicate to all levels of the business.
- Ability to influence cross functionally and manage upwards.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask and work to a deadline.
- Previous retail experience/knowledge.
