Trading Controls Analyst
Glasgow
As a Barclays Trading Controls Analyst, you’ll manage exceptions associated with tradability rules for the Markets business. You’ll provide project management support to the Preventative Controls workstream as the new tradability controls are being designed, implemented, tested, and rolled out. You’ll work with global Investment Bank Middle Office (IBMO) management, and various infrastructure partners to ensure there are effective communication channels to deliver the optimal support model to manage the risks associated with the tradability controls.

- Providing project management support for the new and enhanced tradability controls including supporting user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Leading the mmonitoring tradability controls exception management notifications
- Providing exception management triage where required across the tradability controls
- Ensuring timely resolution of by liaising with Sales, Wholesale Onboarding, Client Regulatory, Legal, and Business Management teams
- Preparing and maintaining key procedures for BAU tasks according to Barclays policy
- Being the day-to-day business contact for the Sales desk and Trading desks relating to the tradability control exceptions
- Detail-oriented with good communication both written and verbal skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and the ability to work under pressure to observe deadlines
- A general knowledge of the trade lifecycle
- OTC product knowledge (Equity Derivatives, Futures, Swaps, FX Forwards and/or Interest Rate Swaps)
- Advanced Excel to macro level
- Working knowledge of operational risk & control processes and practices
