Job description
Hours are Thursday and Friday 9am until 5pm, and Saturday 10.30am until 3.30pm; extra hours available for holiday cover.
Job sharing will be considered.
Welcoming shop customers, being friendly, and helpful, and being informative about the stock on sale.
Ensuring that the shop area is clean and tidy, that items are priced appropriately, that stock is maintained in good condition.
Serving customers, undertaking sales (cash, cheques, cards, tendering change and cashing up).
Other duties as required, e.g. watering greenhouses, computer tasks, making craft items for sale, etc.
When required, opening and closing the shop, unlock/locking the gates and operating the alarm system.
Possibly undertaking outside shop/display work, e.g. at flower shows etc.
Any other duties which may be required from time to time, being commensurate with the post.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 21 per week
Salary: £10.42 per hour
