Job description

Trading Analyst

This role supports the Trading team to deliver against the sales plan targets for passengers and margin by managing price and availability and working across the commercial team to maximise performance. This is part of the wider Trading & Inventory team responsible for inventory management, airline relationship and yield development, in addition to day-to-day trading.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Trading Analyst, you will be responsible for developing the yield strategy for an allocated set of destinations across the beach, city programmes and European expansion for easyJet Holidays. You will be tasked with making pricing decisions that maximise volume, revenue, and contribution, to ensure the business hits its forecast and objectives, as well as communicating performance to the wider business to support with decision making. You will be playing a pivotal role in continuing the growth of the business and helping the team to evolve efficiently in order to deliver our exciting vision for easyJet holidays.

You’ll take ownership of a given set of destinations and form strategies that will ensure the team hit their financial objectives for the year – identifying when the targets are unachievable, looking for new opportunities to drive demand, and interpreting sales and market data to make informed pricing decisions for optimising yield and profit.

You’ll be analysing daily sales and continually reviewing flight and hotel performance and availability to make sure our holidays are on sale and priced competitively and working with your Trading team colleagues to ensure actions are aligned and results are being shared to encourage best practice. You’ll work in closely with our sales channel partners to optimize the delivery of the trading strategy and liaise regularly with the Product and Purchasing teams to ensure there is a continuous feedback loop for future season planning

What you’ll bring to the team:

We are looking for somebody who has experience of working in a revenue management or pricing role. You’ll need to be highly commercial, numerate and have a high level of analytical skills, and be driven by revenue and cost, and motivated by delivering stretching targets.

You don’t necessarily need to have worked in the travel industry, but you’ll need some transferable skills and a passion for travel.

What’s in it for you:

In addition to your competitive base salary, you’ll qualify for our company wide bonus scheme which could see you earning up to an additional 20% on top of your base each year. We'll also contribute 5% towards your pension. You'll have access to a variety of share options (BAYE, SAYE, Performance Shares) and life assurance is 4 x your annual salary.

Aside from the financials, we offer an extensive suite of flexible benefits that you can opt in or out of, such as Medical Cover, Dental Cover, Green Car, and Cycle to Work Schemes.

On top of all of that, you’ll get excellent staff travel benefits which includes heavily discounted flights for you and your friends and family, free easyJet Plus membership, and annual vouchers for you to spend on an easyJet holiday!

Working for one of Europe’s very best brands, you’ll be supported by a friendly team and be given great development opportunities. We're in the business of creating unforgettable experiences for our customers around the world, and the same applies for our people and their careers! Working at easyJet holidays can take you anywhere... where do you want to go?

This is a full-time role based at the easyJet holidays HQ which is near Luton Airport, and we operate a hybrid working model of 2 days per week in the office
