The Amerifresh Sales Trader is directly responsible for developing and maintain inside produce accounts. In this role the individual will work diligently prospecting and selling new accounts, service existing accounts while maintaining corporate mandated profit margins and sales goals.
This position is virtual/remote which means the work can be completed from anywhere is the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and sell new and existing accounts
- Meet and/or exceed established goals
- Develop long lasting relationships with customers and suppliers
- Understand and follow PACA law
- Manage their A/R to company standards
- Assist other teams when appropriate
- Communicate effectively with customers and other team members
- Maintain clean and accurate sales files
- Stay current on industry pricing, supply and quality
- Keep manager informed of any issues that could affect the company’s bottom line
- Visit suppliers monthly and top tier customers annually
- Other tasks as need to further the good of the company
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
- B/A preferred or equivalent work experience in the fresh produce industry
Related Experience/Requirements:
- Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in fresh produce industry or other relevant area.
- Knowledge of PACA Law.
- Knowledge of the retail and foodservice segments
- Knowledge of Microsoft DAX system
- Ability to work long hours and weekends as needed
- Some travel required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- PACA Law
- Product Temperature requirements
- Ability to use and understand CRM as a tool
- Accurate order entry and follow through
- Physical Requirements: Remove section if not needed.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Some yearly Travel may be required.
The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $64,700 and $86,300. In New York City, the expected compensation for this role is between $72,100 and $96,100. In California and Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $68,500 and $91,300. This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus.
