Job description
This vacancy is for a deskside engineer based at our client’s site in Canary Wharf. The role is mostly desktop break fix on a trade floor. This role is totally client facing so strong stakeholder skills are needed, and it includes being a point of contact for the trade floor.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience supporting an enterprise-sized client for a service provider in a trading environment.
Minimum of 2.5 years (desirable 6 years)’ technical experience in providing quality services to the end users which includes
a. Possess strong communication skills in English
b. Have a collaborative and approachable manner that diagnoses and resolves issues/problems in a timely manner showing tenacity and awareness of the service impact to the customer being supported;
c. Act as the primary interface to the Customer, to lead and liaise with key contacts in other resolver groups to ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve issues
d. Be able to provide concierge services as required. Concierge services include,
i. providing friendly and professional meet and greet;
ii. setting expectation with the customer
iii. managing the customer’s interaction during their entire experience at the Tech bar.
e. Provide information on customer products and services
f. Windows 7, Windows 10 and desirable to have Mac support experience
g. Software installation/troubleshooting
h. Mobile device support (iOS/iPhone/iPad) – excluding warranty hardware repair
i. Experience in Mobile Device Management and Mobile Application Management. (iPhone and Android)
j. Act as the primary interface to the Customer, for leading and liaising with key contacts in other resolver groups to ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve issues raised
