Working in the Track Maintenance Engineering team, you will be involved with a wide range of P.Way disciplines, including track quality, wheel rail interface, rail defect management, noise & vibration, mechanised maintenance and technical support. Day-to-day, your main focus will be on technical testing, instrument management, data analysis and reporting, computer programming and developing technical solutions for Track issues. You will work alongside experienced Track Engineers and Data Scientists, contributing to improving the management of Track data and using that to improve the maintenance of track across the TfL estate, particularly on London Underground.
You will have grounding or experience in the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering (with an emphasis on Data Analysis and Programming), and its practical application to industry. Successful applicants will have their knowledge and experience enhanced within the discipline of Track Engineering whilst contributing to the continued safe and reliable operation of the railway.

- Ability to creatively solve problems – establishing solutions with existing resources

- Strong knowledge of engineering theory and principals
- Understand Data structure and formatting
- Understand the Railway & Transport sector
Experience
- Experience of collaborating across teams and in different asset areas
- Experience of developing and delivering technical projects
- Experience of Data wrangling, visualisation, and statistical modelling
