Vestigium Services Limited works with large financial institutions to trace gone away clients and beneficiaries of unclaimed assets. We are a group of dedicated individuals who share a passion to help reconnect customers with their funds and bring positive change to the financial services industry.
We are currently recruiting for a Tracing Researcher to join our small team. The role of Tracing Researcher involves undertaking research to accurately trace and match individuals within data projects, working with both consumer and financial institution data.
An interest in genealogy or a knowledge of worldwide sources and archives for genealogical research would be advantageous. However, previous experience is not required as you will receive full training, as well as ongoing support. We also offer a variety of flexible working options, including hybrid working and flexi-time.
Main duties:
- Conduct research using digital databases to verify the status and location of individuals.
- Using probate records and other sources, locate executors of deceased estates or their next of kin.
- Maintain the accuracy of data by making the necessary corrections to records, ensuring results are accurate and quality standards are maintained.
- Complete workload within established time frames, agreed both internally and externally.
- Notify line manager of any database or system issues and irregularities.
- Maintain the confidentiality of client information and Company data.
Skills:
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A good level of IT literacy – proficient in using Word, Excel and databases.
- Accurate data entry skills.
- Research and analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyse and record information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage own workload.
Aptitudes:
- Must be self-motivated and enjoy working on own initiative, as well as with a team.
- Demonstrate a professional attitude and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- High level of concentration and patience.
Job benefits:
- Starting salary of £20,000 to £22,000, rising after completion of probation.
- Flexible work options, including hybrid working and flexible start/finish times, once training is completed.
- 22 days annual leave (rising to 25 days), plus bank holidays.
