Responsibilities


As a Tools Engineer on the team, you will play a key role in central aspects of our online games infrastructure. This will include architecture, design, implementation, and testing.


  • Development of our client, web, frontend, and backend services and APIs

  • Providing updates, enhancements, and new features via tooling.

  • Evangelise best practices through effective consultation with your peers

  • Work with 3rd party vendors and continually review the latest technologies to help us stay ahead of the game

  • Engage with the operations and engineering teams to automate and improve our tools and processes

  • Write, review and take responsibility for technical documentation


Requirements - If you have most of the following, then we definitely want to hear from you.


  • If you have most of the following, then we definitely want to hear from you:

  • 5 Years + software/UI/App development in the gaming or digital media space.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Integration with Restful API’s

  • Strong programming language experience such as C++, Javascript, JAVA, Python, PHP, Go

  • Experience of frontend frameworks and libraries (React, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of Git source control and tools

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Some experience with DevOps tools e.g Jenkins


Desirable - but not essential


  • Experience of writing games

  • Linux / Bash experience

  • Cloud environments - experience with Azure will be a significant advantage

  • Virtualisation and containerisation - Hyper-V, VMWare, Docker etc
