We are looking for a Tool Hire Assistant to join our Jewson branch in Bracknell (RG12 1NU)!

As a Tool Hire Assistant, your role will be essential to keeping our branch and tool hire department running smoothly. This role has a strong focus on customer service, delivery and collection of our hire equipment and general tool maintenance in the workshop.

We’re a busy and well established branch with a friendly team who pride themselves on offering a great service and excellent product knowledge. We have a sales office, warehouse, shop & counter, timber supply and customer delivery vehicles. Is this role right for me?

While we are committed to providing you with the full tools and support required to carry out your role within Jewson, there are some skills and experience we are looking for from candidates;

• A keen interest in DIY or working with various tools at home on projects.
• Customer service experience
• Experience repairing and maintaining tools in branch
• A full, clean driving license is required for this role

What will I be doing?

Your day to day responsibilities will look like this:

• Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone)
• Understand customer needs and provide proactive advice and solutions
• Use our in-house systems to process customer orders and keep accurate records of maintenance
• Responsible for tool hire delivery and collection whilst keeping customers updated throughout their journey
• Attach trailers and tow equipment to branch delivery vehicles (training will be provided)
• Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the workshop
• Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
• Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

Hours of work: 7:30am-17:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am-12:00pm every other Saturday
