Global Ecommerce Governance and Experience (GNE) is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We are looking for an experienced Strategy Business Partner to support the E-Commerce Governance and Experience (GNE) team. You will act as a trusted business advisor to leadership and define our 1 year and 3 year strategic plan in alignment with cross functional partners upstream and downstream to the governance
Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership by building a view of industry trends, user needs and competitive benchmarking to inform business opportunities.
- Gather and share user (buyer, seller, creator) and competitor insights in high priority areas.
- Conduct industry and trends analysis to identify opportunities for innovation & differentiation.
- Maintain a gap analysis of product and policy needs by customer and seller segment to inform a strategic backlog.
- Drive half yearly and 1 year Strategy Planning Process. Drive project prioritization and alignment with Governance and Experience as well as cross functional partners.
- Take a long-term (3 year) view of the business and define market positioning and target segments.
- Lead market research and definition for net-new GNE wide strategic initiatives that are instrumental to BAU operations (e.g. New Market Launch).
- Refine business demand inputs and support global planning to optimize GNE resource allocation.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in consulting, corporate strategy, governance, customer experience, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management (or relevant work experience).
- Demonstrated leadership and self-direction. Willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with experience interacting and building relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the E-commerce industry is highly desirable but not essential.
- Ability to impact business decisions and suggest improvement through analytical insight.
- Cross cultural communication and collaboration skills working cross functionally in a global working environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, ambiguous and high growth environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to explain complex analytical concepts to people from other fields.
