Job description

We are excited to be able to offer this Band 3 Temporary post, until 31/3/24 at UHBW based at Weston General Hospital, working with orthopaedic/surgical patients. Your role will include carrying out both physiotherapy and occupational therapy aspects of treatment with Trauma/Elective Orthopaedic and surgery patients.

The post advertised is for 22.5 hours a week and includes weekend working on a rota basis and bank holidays.

We are an integrated orthopaedic therapy team and you will be working closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and technicians in the teams well as the MDT. You will need to have good communication skills – written and verbal, and have some experience of working in a health care setting. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is a good team player as well as being able to work well on their own.

To assist the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist with the implementation of treatment programmes for patients on the wards and in pre-admission at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston.

To be actively involved in the in-service training programmes and undertake clinical competencies in orthopaedics and surgery.

To be involved in weekend rotas as the service requires.
